Leadership + Humour = improved success.

How often did you laugh yesterday? If you know me, you know I love to laugh.

Leaders with a good sense of humour are seen as 27% more motivating, according to Jennifer Aaker and Naomi Bagdonas, authors of Humor, Seriously.

⭐Teams are more bonded and creative

⭐ Humour sells – people are willing to pay 20% more if a sales pitch has lighthearted humour

⭐ Laughter shortens the path to connection

What laughter releases in our brain

✨ Endorphins – feeling a runners high

✨ Cortisol – feeling calm

✨ Dopamine – feeling more bonded

As Naomi says in the TedTalk below 👇 “As far as our brains are concerned, [laughter] is like exercising, meditating and having sex all at the same time.”

Research shows that we fall off a “humour cliff” when we start working (around age 23). The good news is, we can reconnect with our sense of humour and have more levity in our lives.

😊Choosing to live life on the precipice of a smile

Gratitude to Darius Bashar for all the laughter during our Heart Shots photoshoot.
