Leadership = Keeping Your Batteries Charged with Mini Mind Boosts

šŸ˜«How often can barely get your teeth brushed before crashing into bed at the end of the day?


One way to combat this end of day fatigue is by taking Mini Mind Boosts, or Power Breaks throughout the day. šŸ‹ļøā€ā™€ļø


šŸ”‹Just like youā€™d plug your phone or laptop in to make sure it has enough charge to get through the day or an important meeting, you need to regularly re-charge your mind.


Zoning out can make you more tired and drained. Actively focusing your mind on a physical sensation will give you more energy and focus.


Try out this structure and see how you feel by the end of the day.

āœØCurrent Behaviour: Instead of mindlessly scrolling social media or checking emails,

āœØNew Behaviour: I will take a 2-minute mini mind boost (see examples below) to re-charge my mental muscles and invigorate my mind.

šŸš¶Go for a walk and really pay attention to how your feet feel on the ground

šŸ‘‚Sit quietly and pay attention to the furthest sound you can hear and then the closest sounds you can hear

šŸŽEat a healthy snack and give your full attention to each bite
